As an author selling books on Amazon, one thing that really sucks is: Amazon has all my data and they won’t give it to me!
Well, okay, it’s their data and I’m just a vendor, really, but still …
Anyway, one of the things I’d like to be able to do is download the sales rank history for my books, which Amazon doesn’t accommodate. They’ll show it to us in Author Central, but there’s no file download for me to slice and dice and analyze the data.
So I wrote a little bookmarklet that will grab the data from the Author central page and download it as a comma-delimited file: Download My Ranks
To use, drag that link to your bookmarks bar, then go to Author Central.
View your book’s rank history as you normally would, then click the new bookmarklet “Download My Ranks” in your bookmark bar.
You’ll get a file called <yourASIN>.csv, which will have all your rank history, by date, and whether that day was free or paid.
No warranties, express or implied, use at your own risk, your mileage may vary.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the Alexis Carew Series on my Kindle. I am about midway through book 4 and am wondering “Where’s book 5?” Any date of release on the horizon?
It’s up for pre-order on amazon now.
Can’t say I found that cover very appealing, but I suppose it doesn’t matter. ^^
I was thinking the same thing about the cover, looks cheesy and more like a fantasy cover then sci fi. Good thing I have read all the previous books and know what a great story they tell.
There’s a new cover now. Much better, I think, even if Alexis still looks like some plucky governor’s daughter who is about to be abducted by a dashing pirate for a illicit but steamy romance …
Yeah … the first one was bad and this is a bit better. 🙂
Your writing is good, characters are largely believable and the action flows well. Unfortunately your lack of attention to detail and outright contradictions regarding the logic you have based your universe on lets it down. That and your illustrators criminal (slight exaggeration) flip flopping with the uniforms (pick one way for the beret to be worn and stick with it!) the clue really is in the name.
On the whole they are decent books, but specific negative points, like contradictions or logic breaks really do stick in the memory more than the positives.
Hi Ben,
Midshipmen’s berets go one way, commissioned officers’ the other. Not sure what detail and contradictions you mean, but thanks for reading, at least.
Thoroughly enjoy the Alexis Carew books
I tried to change my book 6 (Queen’s Pardon) order (new credit card) but it fails, and the book doesn’t appear on Amazon’s website. Problems, schedule changes, or shall I just keep waiting?
I have really enjoyed the books – great sailing metaphors, great historical tie-ins, excellent character development. Thanks!
